Zest is a product and lifestyle discovery platform operated from India. We serve users in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Zest experience:
All personal information — your name, date of birth, and country preference — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any Zest server. It is the equivalent of saving a preference locally in your own browser.
Your email address, if submitted to the waitlist, is stored only in your browser's localStorage. We will update this policy when any server-side storage is introduced.
The Nearby tab uses Google Places API to discover places near you. If you grant location permission, your approximate coordinates are sent to Google's servers to retrieve results. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy.
The People tab embeds videos via youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. This reduces tracking compared to standard embeds. Google's privacy policy applies to any interaction with embedded videos.
Product links on Zest are affiliate links to third-party retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and others. When you click these links, you are redirected to the retailer's website. Zest may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. The retailer's own privacy policy governs any data they collect.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with Zest. This service collects anonymous usage data including pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location based on your IP address. Data is processed by Google LLC under their privacy policy.
You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Zest may display advertisements from third-party advertisers and sponsors. These partners may use cookies or tracking technologies to serve advertisements relevant to your interests. We may share anonymous, aggregated usage data with advertising partners — we never share your personal information (name, date of birth, or email) with advertisers.
You can manage ad preferences through your browser's cookie settings or opt-out mechanisms provided by the relevant ad networks.
Zest uses browser localStorage (not server-sent cookies) to save your preferences — your name, date of birth, country, and session data. This data is stored locally on your device and is not used for cross-site tracking.
Third-party services we integrate (Google Analytics, YouTube, Google Places) may set their own cookies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect certain Zest features.
Zest participates in affiliate marketing programmes. When you click a product link and make a purchase, Zest may receive a small commission from the retailer. This happens at no additional cost to you — the price you pay is unaffected.
Zest features products based on editorial merit. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products are selected or how they are described.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and erase personal data we hold about you. Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you can delete it immediately by signing out or clearing your browser data. For additional requests, contact privacy@getzest.co.

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Zest does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@getzest.co.
Because all your data is stored locally in your browser, you can delete it immediately and completely by clicking Sign Out on the About page. This clears your name, date of birth, country preference, and session data instantly.
To request deletion of any email address submitted to the waitlist, or for any other request, email privacy@getzest.co. We will respond within 30 days.
Zest is not available to users under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please do not use this service or provide any information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Users aged 13–17 may use Zest with age-gated content categories hidden (including alcohol and fine spirits categories).
Your preferences are retained locally in your browser until you sign out of Zest or clear your browser data. We currently maintain no server-side user data. When server-side storage is introduced, we will update this policy and specify applicable retention periods.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of Zest after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Zest is a product and lifestyle discovery platform. We curate and display products, travel destinations, and content creators for your browsing and inspiration. Product links on Zest are affiliate links that redirect you to third-party retailers. Zest does not operate a shop, hold inventory, or process payments.
The service is provided free of charge and is supported by affiliate commissions and, where applicable, advertising revenue.
Zest does not sell products directly. All purchases are made through independent third-party retailers (including but not limited to Amazon, Best Buy, and Nordstrom). Zest is not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.
Zest is not responsible for product quality, accuracy of product descriptions provided by retailers, availability, shipping times, pricing changes, returns, refunds, or any other aspect of a transaction completed on a third-party retailer's platform. All such matters are governed by the retailer's own terms and policies.
Zest currently uses a simplified onboarding flow. Your name, date of birth, and country preference are stored locally in your browser. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of this information. Full account authentication will be introduced in a future version of the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Zest. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove their information.
Certain content categories — including alcohol and fine spirits — are restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. Age is determined by the date of birth entered during onboarding.
The Zest name, logo, design, editorial content, and user interface are owned by or licensed to the operator. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Zest content without prior written permission. Product images and descriptions displayed on Zest are sourced from third-party retailers and remain the property of their respective owners.
Zest participates in affiliate marketing programmes. When you click a product link and make a qualifying purchase, Zest may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This commission does not influence which products are featured or how they are presented. All affiliate relationships are disclosed in our Privacy Policy and on each product card.
Zest is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that product information, pricing, ratings, or availability shown on Zest is accurate, complete, or current. We expressly disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zest and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, or from any products purchased through affiliate links. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of £10 / $10 CAD / $10 USD or the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months (typically nil, as the service is free).
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Zest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Zest after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
